When it comes to our daily activities we perform everyday, our feet gets the punishment, especially when you are woman who wears fashionable high-heeled shoes or boots that would rub those blisters on your heels.
It’s understandable though, that’s what it takes for the sake of the so-called beauty and fashion sense.
There are a lot of issues when it comes to our feet, there’s the development of calluses, athlete’s foot, acne, cracked feet and others.
Fortunately, there are a number of tips that you might find handy in taking care of your feet.
Don’t get too rough –
you may find your rough feet very unattractive at all. A pumice stone could do wonders for this case to rub off those calluses that you have after weeks or months of feet grinding.
Once you have rubbed off the dead skin away, rinse your feet and pat them with a dry and soft towel. Apply petroleum jelly lotion and put on your socks before you sleep.
This is so since the skin will absorb the moisturizer and it will effectively heal and soften those heels of yours.
Relaxation and rejuvenation –
those overworked feet deserves a pampering and this is where the method of foot massage comes in. The masseuse would likely apply a gentle stroke and lavish it with essential oils to provide a soothing feel for your exhausted feet.
This should promote a well-rested feeling to keep it going another day.
Soaking –
soaking is a method to loosen those muscles that were overburdened with the tasked to lift the whole body weight of yours from daily activities. This is a method that lets out the aches and pains of your feet and softens your skin for another method called pedicure.
You can actually do this at home with the use of heated water massage and you may add a little Epsom salt to give you that relaxing experience as well as improve blood circulation in your feet and reduces the feel of aches and pains.
Pedicure –
Unattended feet may have a case of overextending cuticles way past the nail line. This can be actually done after a shower since the skin softens and those cuticles can either be trimmed or pushed back with a cuticle stick. About the toenails, you have to be careful to trim them since you don’t want to have a future case of ingrown nail. Additionally, you can file those toenails to ensure the absence of snags on your socks or panty hose. And keep in mind; file in only one direction and instead of the sawing direction.
