They don’t call your hair crowning glory for nothing.

Have you noticed how in some makeover shows people look like a whole new person because of a mere hair improvement? Well, these are testimonies on the important role your hair plays in the way you look. You lose your hair and you lose your glory.

And losing your hair does not only affect the way you look but how you feel about yourself as well. People can blabber on and on about how we should not be too conscious of the way we look, that vanity is shallow and superficial.

But heck, maybe they should try losing some of their treasured locks.

Yes, there may be some people who cope with hair loss just fine but many lose their self-esteem altogether. This is why various experimentations are being made to bring back the glory lost.
Now here’s the good news. One study conducted by Scottish researchers resulted to some conclusive findings that may well be the answer to your prayers. As you will find in the Archives of Dermatology (1998; 134: 1349- 1352), the study shows that aromatherapy holds the power not only to treat hair loss caused by alopecia areata but to promote hair growth as well. To discuss in detail, the Scottish researchers applied certain essential oils, namely rosemary, thyme, cedarwood and lavender, onto the scalps of half of the total number of subject patients on a daily basis. For the other half, they applied carrier oils in the form of jojoba and grapeseed oil.

The results? After a short period of seven months, 44% of the patients who were treated with the essential oils showed significant improvement in growth hair. As for the patients using the carrier oil, only 15% showed some improvement. Now you can say goodbye to expensive, not to mention risky, steroids.

Aromatherapy does not have any side effect at all. As you may already know, aromatherapy is an alternative medicine used as treatment for various bodily and psychological problems. Through the use of essential oils, which are extracted from trees and plants, aromatherapy can treat not only hair problems but a whole lot of other problems as well. The long list includes skin problems, respiratory problems, and stress-related problems such as anxiety, depression and insomnia. Aromatherapy is actually being used in some European hospitals to relieve the patients of stress and pain.

You don’t have to put up with a balding hair. Not when there is a safe and effective treatment available.
