If you are fond of wearing sexy two-piece suits when you go to the beach, then you have probably heard of Brazilian waxing.

This is a term which is used for the removal of hair within your genital area. When you opt for this, you can choose from two types, which are:
  • Total removal of genital hairs – all of the hairs within your genital area are stripped off or removed.
  • Partial removal of genital hairs – a strip of genital hair is left untouched.

This type of waxing includes areas close to your vagina, perineum, and butt. When you avail of services from beauty salons, it will cost you between $25 to more than $100.

It is not only the women who want to have their genital hair stripped off. There are also some men who opt for this.

When you go for Brazilian waxing, there are some things which you need to know. These are the following:

The beautician will ask you to take off your underwear
. He or she will tell you to lie down, and lift your legs. The areas around your vagina and butt are sprinkled with talc powder. Then hot wax is applied over the hairs of these areas, which are stripped off with the use of cotton strips.

Find a professional waxer through the help of your friends. Don't opt for the yellow pages. This is a common mistake for most individuals, since they are not acquainted with the person who does the service. On the other hand, when you ask from the people you know, you already have an idea of how they work.

You will feel less ashamed when you avail of the service of a professional. Since the latter has done this service for a long time already, seeing your genitals is not new to him or her.

Professionals are better with waxing, and easing the pain. They make sure that they won't have to repeat the procedure over similar areas. They see to it that you don't go through a lot of pain. On the other hand, their movements are more precise and quicker than inexperienced beauticians.

Make sure that the salon practices proper hygiene, and the beautician is licensed. The bed covering should be fresh, and the supplies should be sanitized and clean. You should wait for, at least, a week after your period before you go to a salon.

There are ways for you to lessen pain and itchiness
. For the former, you can opt for an antiseptic which has been prepared in advance. For the latter, you can soothe it with Aloe Vera lotion.
