There are heterosexuals. There are homosexuals. And then came the metrosexuals.

Metrosexuals by definition are men who have a sound artistic or visual sense. They are men who are turning excessive attention on appearance and style. They are normally likened to some homosexuals and transvestites. But no matter what the connotation, some real men are into makeup and care about their appearance. Men as well as women want to look their best all the time.   Even as still not the norm some men are into makeup.   Their trying to find ways to look their best has turned them to putting on makeup. Makeup for men as part of good grooming has never been more acceptable.

So what does a man really need when it comes to looking nice! Makeup not skin care products are what more men are getting into. More and more men are wearing all kinds of cosmetics. Skin tints, body and face highlighter and concealer are the most popular makeup gears sought after. Some makeup tips for men would come in handy. When applying makeup, the first thing to do is to clean the face. Use exfoliator to wash off oil residues of the night’s sleep. Apply moisturizer after exfoliating. To cover up oily face dab some toner on the skin of the face. Then you are ready to put on makeup.   Just like women, the first thing to do is use choose a pressed powder (matte) or foundation similar to your skin tone. Use a concealer that is a shade lighter then the skin tone. This is useful when you want to add a little color to otherwise pale cheeks. Use a fine brush when applying the concealer. For your lips, you can make do with a lip balm. Wow man, you look pleasant! But don’t not try to touch your face while going over your activities for the day; this will ruin your makeup.

Putting on makeup may depend on a man’s occupation or how he feels about it. Television people definitely have makeup on their toiletry kits aside from razor and shaving creams. Just like anything else, people use whatever they think makes them look or feel better whether it be just for their job or their personal life. Over the long haul men have made considerable progress and demand to look their best and if a little makeup helps, so be it. It is about time to break free from all these social anathema and look into this booming business for men. It has something to do with man’s new identity which is based on his aesthetic sense and character.
