Skin Care Tips for 20-Something Woman

The skin is the body’s largest organ.



It is also surrounding the entire body and is the external part of the body. Because of that, the skin is very visible and is often exposed to a lot of dirt, harmful sunshine and other detrimental skin health factors.

The best state and quality of anyone’s skin is apparent and observable when a person is in her infancy. As the person grows up, there are also lots of changes that exhibit in the skin.



Simply put, the skin is one of the most common indications of a person’s aging process. The skin gives clues on how old a person actually is. And looking at the skin, no one can deny her age.

Women are more particular about skin care. This is probably due to the fact that they are more anxious about beauty, which is usually measured and influenced by how smooth, clear and flawless the skin could be. As young girls turn into teens, there are many changes observed particularly in the skin. By the time women reaches their twenties, their skin is at its best.

The twenties is the most critical, yet ignorant, years of a woman’s skincare. However, it is one of the most important phases in terms of skincare. That is why the 20-something woman should be very vigilant and particular about her skincare. She should remember that although she is still young, signs of aging can start to appear by the time she enters her mid- to late-20s. By this time, it is imperative that the woman be more careful and particular about her skincare regimen.

Here are several tips that would help the woman in her 20s take care of her skin:

Always wear sunscreen or sunblock when leaving the house. Choose products with higher sun protection factor (SPF) especially when going outdoors. Doing so would help protect the skin from the harmful ultraviolet rays coming from the sun, which is major factor for aging manifestations in women.

Quit cigarette smoking. Doing so would not only be advantageous to the overall physical health. Studies have shown that women who smoke during their 20s are prone to developing early signs of aging like wrinkles and skin lines, especially around the mouth and the eye. Smoking also causes the skin to dry out and sallow.

Have an overall healthy lifestyle. Sleep early and sufficiently. Avoid stress and have regular exercise or physical activity to help the blood flow more smoothly all throughout the body, especially in the skin.

Drink lots of water and fruit juices. Liquid intake has been found to be helpful in taking care of the skin.

Have healthy and recommended skincare regimen. Do not patronize every skin product that comes in the market. Prior to using one, make sure the skincare product is approved and recommended by your dermatologist. Otherwise, damage may be caused by continuous use of the detrimental merchandise.

Overall, the 20-something woman should learn to appreciate and love her skin. By that, she would surely get to take care of her skin health better.
