As you age, your body will show the signs of your years.  However, there are ways to make your body stronger, healthier and younger for a longer period of time.  The best way to do this is to always live a healthy lifestyle through doing regular exercise and taking in a balanced diet.

It is best that the balanced diet you take in everyday is loaded with the essential vitamins needed to help in your body's daily processes.

Vitamins are very essential for your body to function well.  They play a big role in the internal and external processes of your body like in the maintenance of body cells and energy production.  These processes are very vital in anti-aging.  There are two types of these important compounds and these are the water-soluble and the fat soluble vitamins.  The former travels in the bloodstream while the latter are stored in the body until such time that they are needed.

There are many kinds of vitamins and they have different roles to play in your body.    The most common of these compounds though which are vital for the anti-aging process are the vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K.  Vitamin A is good for the skin and the eyesight.  This is a very good antioxidant making it very effective as an anti-aging compound.  Vitamin B is very important for the body's metabolic process.  It also helps prevent memory loss and provides energy for the body.

Another vitamin that is also very vital against aging is the vitamin C.  This compound makes sure that your body tissues are always in shape.  It is also important in building up your immune system, which helps you stay away from illnesses.  For stronger bones and teeth, vitamin D is what you need.  This compound helps your body absorb the calcium that you need daily.  Vitamin E is needed for the maintenance of the body tissues.  It is also important for the red blood cell formation.  Vitamin K is vital for the clotting of the blood.

While you can take in vitamin supplements, there are lots of foods that you can ingest that are rich in vitamins.  Great sources of vitamin A that help in the anti-aging process are green leafy vegetables, eggs, sweet potatoes, carrots and cantaloupes, among others.  Whole grains, seafood, fish, legumes, meat and poultry are foods rich with vitamin B.  Citrus fruits are laden with Vitamin C as well as tomatoes, broccoli and cabbage.  Milk, eggs and other dairy products are best sources for vitamin D.  Vitamin E, on the other hand, can be sourced from wheat germ, nuts and green leafy vegetables.  Liver and pork are good providers of vitamin K.

If you really want to look and feel younger than your age, then be sure to take in the required amount of vitamins daily through proper nutrition.  The benefits that these compounds can bring your body are enough to make sure that you are healthy beyond your years.
