While there are some men who like to sport stubbles, beards, or mustaches, there are also some who want a clean and well-shaven face.

On the other hand, some male individuals want to grow a mustache. However, they are not allowed because they are prone to skin irritation. When you have this kind of problem, then this article is perfect for you.

In order for you to avoid the development of skin irritation due to a stubble growth, then you have to shave your face regularly. When your face gets easily irritated by just the mere growth of a beard, then you are also more likely to get irritated when you use the wrong kind of shaving blade or shaving cream.

Negative reactions to these products might be: rashes, burns, and flaky or dry skin.

When you have the tendency to be affected with the aforementioned conditions, the following shaving skin care tips might be ideal for you:

Do not shave your face from both directions (shaving from the left, then from the right). In order for you to get that clean-shaven look; you should do it in one direction. Furthermore, the motion must be slow and short.
As you shave your face, don’t rush. When you rush, you will only hurt your self.
You should always utilize a sharp razor blade. Plus, you have to change these regularly. Do not forget to immerse the blades in hot water when you shave your self. This will prohibit the growth of bacteria within the blades.
You should not shave your face when you rise during the morning. The perfect time would be after you have taken a bath, when the puffiness of your skin has receded. This way, you will be able to obtain a closer shave.
Do not apply too much cream on your face. There are some products which contain harmful chemicals that might irritate your skin.
You may use a face scrub or mild cleanser to get rid of dead cells. This is done after you shave your face.

While there are tips that will help you minimize irritation when you shave your face, there are also some tips which are appropriate after you shave:

  • After you have shaved off all of the stubble, rinse your face with cool water. This will help close the pores of your skin.
  • When you are cut by the razor blade, moisten an alum block to cease the bleeding.
  • You should remember to apply on the shaved parts of your face a moisturizing lotion. Prevent from using products which contain alcohol, since these might make your skin dry.
  • To keep the skin of your neck and face firm, apply a moisturizer. You can also opt for after shave creams, or anti aging creams.
