A perfect use of cosmetics definitely adds to the beauty but stupid makeup mistakes may invert this.

The most important thing is avoiding use of anyone else's cosmetics as they may be contaminated and one may then fall prey to a variety of allergies which are very difficult to get rid of, or they may not look as good on one as they do on one’s friends. Be an individual and be yourself, then only one will look beautiful and attractive.

Listed below are some common mistakes while one uses cosmetics and instead of looking smart and beautiful one looks like a clown:

Lipstick on one’s teeth: Avoid biting lips after using lipstick on them; otherwise one’s teeth too will appear red
Lipstick lines on the cheeks: These usually appear on the cheeks when one keeps hair open, the strands of hair fly allover while one is traveling and leave unseemly marks on the cheeks.

Its advisable to tie one’s hair neatly while traveling.
Smudgy lipstick: This happens when one has a bad cold. Along with wiping one’s nose, one also tends to wipe lips with the result the lipstick smudges all around one’s mouth. Therefore it is suggested to apply lipstick when one has cold.
Half eaten lipstick: This mostly happens when one eats noodles or other oily things in restaurants. Many people tend to eat the lipstick too along with the food. Either eat slowly and carefully or carry a spare lipstick in purse so that when one finishes eating it can be reapplied on lips.
Smudged eye makeup: One should use waterproof eye makeup otherwise one should stop rubbing eyes.
Chipped nail polish: One should use two coats of nail varnish and make sure they cover the sides of the nails which chip first. Nail polish from a reputed company does not chip easily.
Ring around the lips: One should outline the lips with a pencil then fill in the lips with a lip brush. Thereafter, blot dry with a tissue and apply a second coat.
Streaking foundation: Always add water to the foundation to make it of thin consistency and then apply evenly on the face. Put on a thin layer of powder afterwards, wet one’s hands, stand under the fan and pat one’s face with hands. Now let the face dry. This way the foundation will never smudge down one’s face
