It is your day of all days. And you plan to spend it like there will be no other day ahead. There is no other day like it, you think.

In this day, aside from saying, "I do" to the man you will marry, you are also bestowed with a special opportunity: to look good as much as you can in front of your husband, his family and yours, and your friends. Excited as you are, you picture yourself walking in the middle of that sacred aisle. Not all women will have the chance to do this, and you thought, how can I make most of this opportunity?

There is one answer: bridal make-up. Make-up is a crafty invention passed down to the ages from the glamorous queens and princesses of the past to the present-day, working woman. It was made to enhance the beauty already present in the woman and aims to show it more in eye-pleasing ways. It is not to be used as a substitute for real beauty. Because of this, make-up adds more personality to the person. It increases confidence in oneself, as one faces people. There is nothing more than feeling confident in your wedding day. There is nothing more than being the sole persona gravitating the glances of everyone in the ceremonies, especially your husband.

Of the various make-up tips, the first thing you need to know is your skin tone. What colors are right for it? Natural-colored make-up that "sings together" with your skin tone is always better than any other make-up. Look natural as much as possible. Choosing lighter colors also always works for any skin tone and never apply white or black shadows to your eyes. If you opt for the dark colors, go with gray or dark brown. Is your complexion pale or dark? Usually, for dark complexion, gray would not be a god idea. For pale-complexioned brides, avoid colors that scream to the eyes. It makes you look like a carnival performer. Since looking natural is your goal, use brown mascara. On lipstick and blush, pink would usually go well with blondes and peach with brunettes.

Now that you have selected the special bridal make-up that suits you, it’s time to apply it. In applying blush, it is better to use a round tip blush brush than a square one. It definitely spells the difference in your overall look. In your eyelids, apply light colors. Again, light colors make you look very natural. We want to get away from that artificial look. It's just not you. Of course, curling your eyelashes with a lash curler before applying mascara makes you even look brighter for the day. When putting lipstick, color your lip first with lip liner before applying. Eye shadows are more effective when applied using make-up brushes. Tiny brushes that come with the cosmetic kit certainly would not work well. Putting the foundation should also be done by placing dots of it first on your nose, forehead, cheeks, and chin. Then, gently rub it well with a make-up sponge or your fingers.

These all involves your choice in it. After choosing light base colors, you can choose the other colors that will go with as well. Be natural. Make-up, after all, was not made to make you beautiful but to enhance the beauty that is already in you.
