Olive oil is taken from the olive tree which is very common in the Mediterranean.

It is commonly used for food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and other things. Olive oil
is basically a healthy type of oil because of its abundance of monounsaturated fat and polyphenols. It is typically graded into three types of industrial olive oil such as virgin, refined and pomace olive oil. Virgin olive oils are processed without any use of chemicals and are produce only by physical means.

Refined olive oils are treated with chemicals to neutralize defects and acid contents. This kind of olive oil
is a lower quality compared to virgin olive oils and extra virgin olive oils. Pomace olive oils are those oils that are extracted using chemical solvents and heat.

There are many different ways to use olive oil and one of these is for hair care. Many people use extra virgin olive oil for their hair care by initially heating the oil to a warm level and then generously applying it on your hair with a comb. Dipping the comb in the oil will ensure that when you comb it through the hair, your hair may be well and truly saturated with the olive oil. You could wrap up your hair with plastic wrap like Saran Wrap. Do not wash your hair as yet, let the steam from your hot shower integrate the olive oil into your hair for 5 minutes and then you can wash off the olive oil by directly adding shampoo into your oil filled hair. You might need to shampoo a few more times to get the greasy feeling off your hair but be careful not to overdo it. Olive oil hair care is very beneficial because it makes your hair softer and you will not need to add conditioner.

Olive oil hair care also includes controlling the frizz of your hair by finger combing a small amount of it into your frizzy hair and leaving it there. The natural elements of the olive oil will tamp down the frizz and flyaway of your hair and make you presentable. Hair care with olive oil also includes getting grid of dandruff by rubbing a minimal amount on the offending areas. Children’s cradle cap can also benefit from olive oil because it is all natural and safe to apply on a child.

Hair loss is also arrested when you do an olive oil wrap that is good for twenty minutes. You just apply the virgin olive oil in your head and let it stay for approximately twenty minutes. Then rinse off the olive oil with the help of a shampoo. Regular application is said to improve the condition of your hair and that of hair loss. This is probably because the olive ole makes your hair healthier with its natural elements.

Hair care with olive oil is a bit expensive considering that a small bottle of olive oil can cost you some dollars. If you have no other alternative, then it may be beneficial for you to use olive oil.
