You can use oils such as shea butter. The oil can be applied to either dry or wet hair. The purpose of the oil is for prevention of dryness and split ends. As you apply oil on your scalp, try to massage it as well. The massage helps in the circulation. Refrain from using petroleum jelly and mineral oil because it tends to obstruct pores and stop complete absorption of important elements.
