Hair forms a vital component of beauty and as such, maintaining thick hair is important. To make hair thick and healthy, you need to oil your hair regularly as well as keep it clean. Unfortunately oil attracts dust and so it is important to balance both the oiling and the cleansing.
In addition to this, excessive pollution makes your hair dirty and prone to scalp related troubles like dandruff. Commercially available shampoos serve the purpose of cleaning, but they lead to problems like reducing the moisture content of hair. These shampoos claim to have natural ingredients which may not be true. Also, these shampoos contain sodium lauryl sulphate which may form cataract related proteins causing scalp allergies, hair loss, and dandruff. These shampoos leave your hair dry and lifeless and may be regarded as hair thinning shampoos.
Homemade shampoos are generally preferred as they do not contain added dyed and chemicals. These homemade shampoos extend a number of benefits like infusing the hair follicles with constituent natural oils and nutrients, thereby making the hair strong, thick, and healthy. The ingredients for homemade shampoos are herbs and essential oils. Some recipes for natural homemade hair thickening shampoos are as follows:
Homemade egg shampoo: Egg for hair is very beneficial as it contains nutrients that make hair healthy and strong. Egg shampoo is particularly used as a shampoo for thin hair. To prepare this egg shampoo, you will first need a shampoo base. Add a handful of soapnuts to a saucepan of water and bring to the boil on low heat. Strain the liquid once it cools. Beat the egg yolk and slowly add in about ½ a cup of the soapnut shampoo base and continue whisking. Use this instead of your normal shampoo.
Homemade shampoos with essential oils: Distilled essential oils contain nutrients essential for hairs, particularly thin hair. You can use a lot of essential oils in making homemade shampoos. The first step is to add four drops of lavender and four drops of rosemary to your soapnut shampoo base.
