Warts are small skin protuberances which are generally harmless and are caused by a viral infection. Warts occur on the skin or mucous membranes. Warts are of different types like genital warts and flat warts which are found on the face, and plantar warts found on the soles of the feet.

The causal organisms for hand warts are specific strains of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Rinse your finger well with cold water and allow it to dry naturally. You can use this treatment twice a day for 3 days to get rid of the warts completely.
Other than these remedies, there can be some specific lotions and ointments to remove finger warts. These medical applications work by removing the skin affected by virus and consequently the warts. These lotions may have strong chemicals which may have side effects. It is recommended that people afflicted with diabetes or heart ailments must not use these chemical bases applications on warts. As prevention is always better than cure, it is recommended to take some precautions to prevent the occurrence of these warts. Maintaining personal hygiene is the best prevention to get rid of hand warts.
