Usually, hand warts can be removed using easy home remedies and it rarely calls for a medical treatment. Some of the home remedies to cure hand warts are listed below. You can use any one of these remedies depending on the availability of the ingredients needed.

  • You may rub the wart with a raw potato every day.
  • It is also recommended that you apply fresh radish juice on the warts.
  • Squeeze dandelion sap and apply it on the warts.
  • You may rub the warts with a piece of raw meat.
  • Banana peels are said to be effective in removing hand warts.
  • You may also rub a paste of castor oil and baking soda on warts.

  • Place a little mashed garlic on the wart and bandage it in place for about an hour or so. Garlic is a very potent herb and is especially useful in finger wart removal. It is important to take the garlic poultice off after an hour as keeping it on for longer can severely irritate the skin around the wart.
Duct tape treatment is the most recommended method to remove warts. You may roll a duct tape around the wart. The acid in the adhesive of the tape kills the virus in the wart, thereby removing it. This treatment is very popular for finger wart treatment.
Hand warts can also be removed by medication. Doctors generally use a freezing liquid such as nitrogen in order to freeze the wart and thereby make it numb and then remove it. This is a common method used by doctors to remove a hand wart.
Also, there can be some specific lotions and ointments to cure hand warts. These medical applications work by removing the skin affected by virus and consequently the warts. These lotions may have strong chemicals which may have side effects. It is recommended that people afflicted with diabetes or heart ailments not use these chemical based applications on warts. As such, it is best to use home remedies before going for medical treatment.
Maintaining personal hygiene is the best prevention to these warts. As prevention is always better than cure, it is recommended to take some precautions to prevent the occurrence of these warts.
