Acne free skin in 30 days may sound implausible, yet, who wouldn’t want it? Many experts recommend natural treatments for acne.

An acne treatment with regular hygiene, proper diet, vitamins and so on can really help anyone very much and very fast.

An effective acne prevention and treatment program consists of 8 simple steps:

1. Cleansing for acne

Begin with cleansing to help your system detoxify. Impurities that cannot be eliminated through the kidneys and bowels fast enough may erupt through the skin. Physical cleansing is done through Shatkarmas or purificatory techniques. These practices cleanse the entire digestive and respiratory tracts. They are particularly beneficial in cases of constipation, gastritis, dyspepsia, indispositions of the stomach and spleen, phlegm and skin disorders.

• Vaman Dhauti or Kunjal Kriya
• Shankha Prakshalana

2. Diet for acne

Choosing to eat healthy foods and avoiding harmful saturated fats can have a major, medicinal effect. Dermatologists advise that acne sufferers reduce their intake of red meats, margarine and butter products.

A healthy diet with an appropriate inclusion of supplements can be the best defense against topical skin problems. Make sure you eat a low-fat, high-fiber diet. Also, avoid foods that are fried or pre-packaged.

Also, drinking plenty of water to flush the body of harmful toxins is very beneficial. An intake of at least four quarts of water daily is suggested for everyone. Spicy foods and drinks with caffeine should be avoided when a person engages in a specific health regimen for acne or other skin problems.

Check to see if you are allergic to certain foods, cosmetics, or other products applied to your face, such as sunscreens. If so, eliminate them from the diet and start using natural cosmetics, vitamins and other products. Common allergens are chocolate, milk, refined carbohydrates (sweets) and soft drinks.

Your doctor might wish to test for allergies. A blood test is also more effective than a skin scratch, to help detect allergies.

3. Pranayamas for acne

The principle of Yoga is that, in order to alter a situation you must make changes in the energy that governs it. This is done through a set of exercises that entail synchronized breathing called Pranayamas. They are used to purify the system by controlling, regulating, and channelizing the Prana (Life Force) in the body. Prana is taken in through the air we breathe, and since the breathing exercises increase the amount of air we inhale, they also increase our intake of Prana. The essential Pranayamas are:

• Kapalabhati
• Anuloma Viloma
• Shitali
• Sitkari

Shavasana literally means “corpse pose”. The goal of this asana is to let go of everything as if you were dead. Through conscious relaxation and awareness, it makes you sensitive to the tension in your mind and body and release. It is considered by some, the most important yogasana. And even though it appears extraordinarily simple, once you actually get into it you’ll come to realize how easy or difficult it actually is.
