Those who suffer from brittle
dry hair
are often at a loss for how to control the problem especially if they are just embarrassed and don’t wish to seek help. The good news is there are several things a person can do to eliminate brittle dry hair or at least control it to a certain degree. The key is to understand the types of shampoos and conditioners as well as herbal methods available.
Whether we realize it or not our hair is based on protein and nutrients. Just like our fingernails our hair grows when we are healthy. This means as long as our hair is receiving the proper nutrients we can eliminate most problems associated with hair. . In other words you will want to pay attention to the many shampoos and conditioners that are out there. There are many shampoos and conditioners for people with dry hair. It is often an experiment to find the set that works best on your brittle dry hair. It may take a little while, but remember it won’t happen over night so you will need to try the new combination for at least two months, unless of course your scalp becomes irritated from the ingredients.
I would suggest natural shampoos and conditioners. By natural I mean those that have been created using natural ingredients such as herbs and fruits or vegetables. These shampoos and conditioners have the greatest impact where those made strictly from chemicals will actually cause more damage. Once you have found a set of hair products that will help with your brittle dry hair you will also want to realize extremely hot weather and water can damage your hair. Salt water is actually not as damaging as city water with chlorine and can help provide nutrients as long as you do not let the sun dry your hair.
Other things to consider would be a leave in conditioner with protein to use every week. You will also want to avoid blow dryers and brushing your hair when wet. It is best to use a comb rather than your hairbrush, as it will move more easily through your hair. If you are still experiencing problems with brittle dry hair speak with a professional about a conditioner that they can apply and use under a hair dryer to open up the pores.
