Herbs are commonly known to help with a variety of different things when it concerns our body.  It should come as no surprise that herbs can also help with hair care.  We are always seeking shampoos and conditioners that we can buy from the store, but we don’t realize most of these products have harmful elements to them.


  Some shampoos contain chemicals that will ruin hair rather than make it healthy and beautiful.  If you are prone to using hair spray and gels than you are also damaging you hair.  There are many ways to damage your hair and the best way to prevent this damage from remaining is to use herbs.

Here is a list of herbs that can be extremely useful for you.

Aloe
Arnica
Birch
Chamomile
Horsetail
Marigold
Mulberries
Oyster
Sage

Each herb has its different properties to help with certain types of hair or hair problems.  For instance horsetail is a great herb to use if you want strong and shiny hair.  Horsetail will keep your hair from breaking especially it is long while keeping the natural shine you wish to have.  Other herbs such as apple cider vinegar and sage tea will help increase the circulation in your skull, disinfect your hair, and help with hair growth.  If you are experiencing hair loss and wish to find some herb for hair care that will promote growth and health than you may wish to try chamomile or rosemary.  Both herbs deal with different properties.  First chamomile is an herb that reduces dry hair and itchy scalps.  Having an irritated scalp can lead to more hair loss because the hair is often try at the roots and it will break off.  Rosemary on the other hand deals with dandruff, which is a result of a dry scalp.  When using rosemary to eliminate dandruff you are essentially saving yourself from hair loss.

There are certain types of diseases that can cause hair loss.  For instance if you have been diagnosed with a thyroid problem you may have noticed a change in your hair from it becoming dryer as well as more brittle instigating hair loss.  The best way to combat this problem is to seek herbal remedies such as self made shampoos and conditioners that will help bring the health back to your hair and scalp.  Even if you do not suffer from any of the above mentioned conditions it is still wise to use natural herbs rather than chemicals on your hair for a healthier head of hair.
