Applying makeup like an expert can only be achieved when you know its basics. You should know which color looks great on you. You should also know how to blend colors perfectly.

Plus, it is a must for you to know how to apply the makeup properly. It would be very unsightly if your blush-on is spread across the entire area of your cheek, making you look like a rag doll.

There are a lot of techniques when it comes to makeup application. The following are tips to guide you with the proper application of blush-on, lip color or eye shadow.

Choose colors, which compliment your complexion.
When you have a dark skin, opt for lighter shades. On the other hand, when your complexion is pale or creamy, you can stick to tones or hues that go well against your pallid skin. You should also remember not to use too much makeup, or else you will end up looking like a clown.

Use a concealer before anything else. This is perfect when you have dark eye circles, eye bags, and skin blemishes. It can also improve the appearance of your face. When you are looking for the best concealer, opt for a color, which matches the tone of your skin. You can go for powders, creams and bottles.

Use foundation cream or base.
This is done once you are through applying concealer under your eyes. There are foundation powder and creams. However, the latter is the most common choice for most women. Choosing this product also requires you to opt for a tone, which matches your complexion. Blend the cream well with the use of a wedge. But if you are using powder, use a foundation brush for even and easier blending. Start the application on your nose, working your way across your cheeks down to your jaw, then to your forehead.

Applying your blush-on.
When it comes to this product, you can choose from a huge variety of colors and types. There are powders, creams and sticks. Although, the most common type is the powder. When looking for the perfect shade, choose one that compliments your face complexion. When you are using blush-on powder, use a brush, which is angled, then apply the brush on your cheekbones. The strokes of the brush should be upwards, going toward your temples.

Experiment with various eye shadow colors. But when you do, you have to make sure that you look good with the blend that you have chosen. Proper eye shadow application starts at the corner of your eyelid, going outwards. You can opt to use an applicator or a small brush.

Use an eyeliner.
When you want to use this makeup product, choose the pencil type since this is easier to use.

Obtain seductive lips with the best lip color.
When you are on your teens or early twenties, opt for lip-gloss. But when you are older, the best lipstick for you should be creamy.
