Summer is all about the sun and most importantly fun. And the beach is the most popular destination during summer. It is a great place to spend a summer vacation.

People come to the beach for various reasons such as walking and lounging on the sandy beach, playing sports, or just enjoying the scenery. In any case, there should be protection of the body especially the skin from the ultraviolet rays of the sun. Extensive exposure to the ultraviolet rays of the sun is harmful to us. It can cause sunburn and other types of skin diseases.

Not only do we need to protect our skin, we also need to place an importance on the protection of our eyes, hair, and lips. These other parts of our body are also exposed to the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun while on the beach.

It does not mean that you should be using the umbrella all day or wear long sleeved shirts or even pants as you try to enjoy summer. The body should be able to breathe, that means wearing your tube tops and shorts or your swimwears such as swimsuits or your bikinis. But before you can actually do this, it is necessary to apply some type of skin care products.

Here is a list of the things that needs to be brought along when going to the beach this summer.

  1. A sunscreen lotion that is water resistant. Not only will it help protect your skin from the harmful ultraviolet rays, but the protection that it provides will last longer while swimming.
  2. A lip balm or a medicated lip guard to protect the lips from drying up. This sun care can lock in the moisture in the lips keeping them smooth.
  3. A hat with a wide brim can provide shade for the face. It can also protect the hair from being damaged by the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. The hat should fit nicely on the head without being too tight or too loose.
  4. While having fun on the beach, the hair has to be protected from the damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun. Several hair sprays are designed to protect the hair. They contain chemicals that are not harmful. Protective hairsprays form a sort of shield, which guards the hair from the sea breeze.
  5. Several diseases could develop from overexposure to the sun. Diseases such as fever, cold, etc. There are several medications that can remedy these diseases.
