Come to think of it, how would you react if a teenaged girl wears a makeup suitable for women in their 30s or 40s?

First of all, why do women wear makeup? Makeup serves as our protection from sun damage and aging.  Most cosmetics now contain SPF to protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet rays. Wearing makeup also hides skin blemishes on our face like wrinkles, dark spots, pimples, and other undesirables as well as gives emphasis on those fit to be seen areas of our face.  Finally, women wear makeup to boost the finest features of the face. One important consideration in wearing makeup is to make it natural looking and fitting to the age bracket we belong.

For teenage girls (15-19). Wearing a makeup, which enhances that youthful look, is recommended.  Use foundations, which are sheer, oil-free and water-based.  Natural-looking eye shadows are good as well as gel blush for you face for a natural glow and lightly tinted lipstick or lip gloss.

Twenties (20-29). Use light foundation and eye colors, which matches the color of your eyes, skin tone and your mood for the day. Light powder blush and lightly tinted lipstick should be used during the day.  You may choose bright colors for activities in the evening, such as dates and parties.

Forties (40-49). This is the time where signs of aging really show. Cosmetics, which are good for your face, are recommended like oil-based foundation for dry skin and light base over wrinkles.  Concealer creams are likewise a must to use on dark spots and dark circles.  Do not apply frosted or metallic eye shadow especially for those with puffy eyes.  You cheeks should have softer colors.

For women in their fifties, it is advised to allow yourself to age gracefully.  Do not use matte-based makeup nor those frosty, shiny, or metallic eye colors as these tends to play up wrinkles and puffiness.  Blue or red lipstick should not be used but opt for light colors.

For the sixties women, you can use rosewood shaded lip-gloss. A must for you are rich day cream as well as other special creams to ward off pigmentation.  Lip balms can help maintain your beautiful lips.

Women in their seventies should use creamy and tinted beauty products with sufficient oils and moisturizers.  A must for these women is the use of wash oils and body lotion with urea after every shower, to include also face creams with urea, and creamy foundations.
