Have you noticed changes to your skin whenever you eat fresh fruits, vegetables, salads, healthier foods, and lots of water? Ever wonder why your skin tone and texture is also different when you eat candy bars, chocolates and other sweets? The answer is diet for a natural skin care regimen.

Diet helps in the maintenance of healthier looking skin according to nutritional consultant and author, Elaine Wilkes, N.C., M.A. In her own book she compiled tips from different health advisors on how to have a skin that looks and feels healthy and young through natural ways that is no pills involved or even cosmetic surgery. These tips include advice on what foods to avoid and which are healthier, how to lose weight, and also some ways to save money.

Having been approached and commented on her beautiful skin, Elaine Wilkes compares the goal to smooth, healthy and younger looking skin with a beverage recipe involving juicing. She says that she has tried everything but only through using natural sources, she was able to achieve her goal.

Before she provides people with the right diet to take for their skin care, she evaluates their nutritional needs according to their body’s metabolism, considering also their genetics, blood type, personality and so on. This is because she is also a Certified Practitioner of Metabolic Typing. For a healthier looking skin, she recommends making a juicy cocktail made with fresh vegetables and fruits.

She recommends the combination of green vegetables such as kale, cucumber, parsley, spinach, celery, and fruits like apple for a delectable taste into a juicer. For some added zing, add lemon or ginger. After taking this concoction, you will notice certain changes in your skin. Your skin will feel like new, healthier and more radiant than ever.

Besides the recommended fresh fruits and vegetables, water’s also another natural source used in natural skin care. With water, simply drinking the recommended amount in her book, which is half your weight in ounces everyday, is needed because the changes in our body will be reflected on our skin. Thus whatever is going on inside the body, the skin shows these.

So if you want a healthy younger looking skin, then going natural in skin care‘s the easy way combined with diet and a regular exercise program that can boost your body.
