Swollen Skin Rash Effects
The raised skin rashes are the ones in which the skin over which the rash has developed becomes swollen. Swelling in rashes is one of the common symptoms of rashes just as the redness and itchiness are. However, in some cases the swelling increases and it increases so much that the skin appears to be raised a bit.
However, there are some types of rashes like lupus are associated with excessive swelling of the skin. Infections at the sights of rashes also are the common reasons for swelling in rashes. In such cases, the rashes may be associated with the formation of puss, which makes it appear raised. In the same way, allergies as well can result in raised skin rashes.
If the raised skin rashes may burst due to scratching or some other reason. Due to this, the inner liquid comes out. Very often, this liquid is infectious and therefore the skin, which is exposed to it as well, develops the rashes. Therefore, care should be taken that it does not spill over the other regions on the skin.
Generally, after sometime of starting medication for the rashes, the swelling starts coming down and eventually the skin becomes flat and normal again.
