Round Rash On Skin Treatment
The reason for the round rashes on your skin can be Pityriasis Rosea. The exact cause for it is not yet known. However, it is thought be caused by herpes virus 7 or it can be an autoimmune disorder as well.
There is no perfect treatment available for this disease. However, you do not need to worry. Just wait and watch for sometime. In most of the cases, it fades away naturally. In most cases, it the symptoms disappear within 2 to3 weeks, however in some it can take as long as 6 weeks. The rashes are irritating and painful. Therefore, protect them from the things that can increase these symptoms. For example, soap should not be applied over them.
There is no scarring associated with it and therefore avoid itching as well as scratching. The topical application like calamine lotion along with antihistamines can reduce the itching.
However in some severe cases when the symptoms become acute oral as well as topical steroids are used. They can relieve the itching and pain. However, the skin will take some time to become normal in appearance. In the same way, exposing the rashes to sunlight and UV therapy also provide relief from the symptoms.
