Skin Fold Rashes Effects
The skin folds are always prone to rashes. Such rashes in the skin folds are called intertrigo. The reason why the skin folds are more prone to rashes is that the as the skin in this region remains folded and therefore it is not airy. Because of this, it perspires a lot. This perspiration is not able to evaporate and therefore the skin remains moist for a long time.
Because of this, the skin folds become a perfect place for microorganisms as bacteria, fungi and viruses. Some of them are infectious and they cause the rashes. Therefore, rashes often occur in the skin folds. Moreover, the skin in the skin folds is always subjected to friction. This friction makes the skin to perspire more and it leads to itchiness as well. Therefore, it is often scratched and this scratching increases the rashes.
The skin fold rashes often become severe and therefore the skin becomes very sensitive. This may restrict the movement of that region.
The skin fold rashes cannot be avoided. However, they develop slowly and therefore whenever there are any signs of rashes immediate treatment should be taken. Most of the time, they are easily cured with a topical medication like an ointment or cream.
