Round Face Makeup A round face can be made up to look very pretty quite easily. The first thing to know is that if your face is round, you should try to use dark and tan shades instead of light and pink ones. Begin with a foundation that is one shade lighter than your skin. Then follow the concept of contouring, whereby you use a darker shade of blush on the outer peripheries of your face and lighter blush on the inside of your face. This will minimize flaws like jowls, double chins and puffiness and give the face a definite shape. The darkness on the outside areas such as the underside of the jawbone and beneath the earlobe will make the heavier areas blend away into your hair, which should be left loose for most part. You must learn to enhance the eyes and lips, which can be made to look impressively large, thus making your face look relatively smaller. Line your eyes on the lids as well as inside the lower lid of the eye. Use a dark liner, preferably a kohl-based one, which will add drama and emphasize your eyes. In order to enhance the eyes, apply a dusting of white just beneath the eyebrow. This will make your eyes look large. Contour the eyelid with dark shades on the outside and lighter shades on the middle part of the eyelid. In order to enhance your lips and make them appear fuller, line them with a dark shade and apply lipstick a shade lighter inside. In the middle part of your lips, rub on a shiny gloss. This will make your lips appear full and pouty. Use a dark blush on the top of your cheekbones to give the appearance of high cheekbones.
