Moisturizer for oily skin

Anybody who has an oily skin desires it to be clear and free from oil. As most of the moisturizers are oily, they think that the moisturizers oil will add to the oil on the skin. They think that the oil internet eh moisturizer will stimulate the oily glands to secrete more oil. However, this is not true in all the cases.

Initially for some days, the oil on the skin may appear more. The moisturizers actually reduce or suppress the secretion of the natural skin oil. Thus, the total quantity of oil on the face actually remains the same.

Moreover, the people with an oily skin may think that as their skin is already oily there is really no need of any moisturizer. However, it is commonly observed that even if the skin is oily it does tend to be dried during the summer. Therefore, these people should actually use moisturizers. Apart from keeping the skin moist and smooth, they also protect it from dirt debris and sunlight as well. If they do not want to use the oily moisturizers, there are non-oily moisturizers as well.  They are composed of a gel instead of oil. This gel as well is as effective as oil in keeping the skin moist.

Natural Treatment for Oily Skin

It is a myth to believe that applying moisturizer will add to the oiliness of your face. If the face is oily, then the reason is not that there is excessive moisture on the face. The reason is most likely that the skin has clogged pores that are blocking it from breathing freely and releasing toxins effectively. You need to work on releasing the excess oil from your skin first. The best way to do this is to exfoliate the skin well at least twice a week to begin with. You can buy a simple sugar scrub from the market for this purpose. Alternately, you can also make your own with a mix of olive oil and sugar crystals. Rub this in a rolling motion all over your face for a good ten minutes each time. You will actually feel cleaner once you wash the residues off.

After this, you must apply a mild moisturizer meant for oily skin. These are freely available in the market as well. If you want to use a home-made one, you can apply a thin layer of olive oil to your face. This method, if followed for a month, will help you to get rid of the excess oil from your face. If it still persists, then apply a layer of yogurt to your face every morning and wash it off after about 15 minutes.
