Women with dark skin need bother less about the effects of UV radiation on them than women with white skin. Dark skin contains considerable quantities of melanin that helps mitigate the harmful effects of UV radiation from the Sun. Such dark skin can be taken care of by adopting natural remedies that can be easily put together.
A common skin paste recommended for dark skin is the one that is made of dried orange peels and curds. Apply the paste all over the skin and rinse after 15 to 20 minutes. Orange peels impart the essential nutrients to nourish the skin and curds have a cooling effect on it. Very often, honey is also recommended as a face mask or a skin nourishing agent. This is because not only does honey moisturize the skin, it also provides vitamins and minerals. Women with dark skin can also apply oils rich in vitamin E. For example, almond oils and olive oils are known to be rich in their content of vitamin E. Finally, raw potato slices can also be of help. Potato slices need to be as thin as possible. These slices have to be kept on the skin for at least 15 minutes or so.
