Natural Cure for Dark Color of Lips

It is possible that your lips are turning dark because they are excessively tanned. This could be simply because they are more prone to tanning than the rest of your face or skin. This is a common ailment, especially when it comes to the upper lip, which usually tends to be darker than the lower one. The best solution for this is to make it a rule to apply sun screen to your lips several times a day. This will help keep them from further discoloration. It is also fairly common to get lip balm that already contains sunscreen anywhere over the counter. You can switch to using this.

In order to lighten the color of lips that are already dark, you can apply fresh aloe vera gel to them. This is an excellent remedy for taking care of dark tans and can show results in as little as a week if used regularly, several times a day. Prepare a cream with equal parts of milk powder, lemon juice, honey and almond oil and apply this for about 20 minutes or a bit more. This can also be stored for about a week and used thrice or so daily. Grate a raw potato and squeeze out the juice. This juice is very useful in lightening the darkness of your lips. Do remember that all these remedies will take at least a week to show positive results, if not more time.
