It is essential that you follow a regular skin care regimen. Wash your face with warm water and lemon every morning and evening. This will help to eliminate excess facial oils and control sebum levels. Lemon juice has mild bleaching properties and helps to clear blemishes. If you must use a cosmetic face wash make sure that you do not use it more than once a day. Cosmetic face washes tend to leave the skin dry and scaly.
Make sure that you use a sunscreen at least thirty minutes before you go out doors. Your sunscreen lotion should have a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least fifteen and it should contain both UVA and UVB filters. Avoid exposure to the mid day sun as this is when the sun's harmful radiation is at its highest level. Use a natural moisturiser like olive oil after your bath as this will help to lock in moisture. Use a night cream or a natural product that is suited to your skin type. In addition to your daily skin care routine make sure that you use a nourishing face pack at least once a week. This will help replenish lost nutrients and keep your skin soft and supple.
