Research and attitudes in popular culture have changed with beauty treatments focusing not just on applications, but largely on dietary measures. A combination of a healthy diet and the perfect proportion of dietary supplements can help maintain and improve the health of your skin and even delay the aging process.

Research has shown that certain specific nutrients and antioxidants in general, play an extremely important part in the health and beauty of your skin. The following vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, and other nutrients, whether taken in the supplement form, through foods eaten or through skin applications, nourish and strengthen the skin.

Vitamins C, E, A, K, and B complex are all crucial to improving and maintaining the health of your skin. Omega 3 fatty acids are also very important and promotes skin health. You can take cod liver oil capsules as this a safe method to ensure that your daily intake of omega3 fatty acids is at the required level. When taking other nutritional supplements like cod liver oil its important to keep in mind that they also contain vitamins and you might need to recalculate your vitamin supplement dosages.

However before you take any supplements I suggest that you consult your general physician about it, as excess intake of certain vitamins can have an adverse effect on your health. For example excess consumption of vitamin A will lead to hypervitaminosis A. Furthermore this can cause central nervous system disorders and reduced bone mineral density.
