Many factors can cause a skin rash. Viruses are one of the many causes of a rash formation. Just like a fungal or bacterial rash, viral rashes too change the color of the skin, its texture, causes inflammation and red bumps appear on the skin. Shingles is another rash, which is caused by a virus. The virus causing shingles is the one, which causes chicken pox. Unlike chicken pox it affects only one part of the skin. The affected part appears to be red and there erupt crusty blisters, which are very painful. Fifth disease is another rash, which is caused by viruses. Thus, viruses are an important cause of skin rash.
