Home remedies for fair skin
My two years old daughter was born very fair but her skin got dark in light therapy during jaundice treatment, will she be able to recover her skin color as she was born very fair, kindly tell some home remedy for her

Alternative Treatment for Fair Skin
Phototherapy to treat jaundice in small children uses ultraviolet light as the main element. This ultraviolet light stimulates the cells that produce melanin (the key factor in skin pigmentation). The darkening of the skin is the body's natural way of protecting itself from too much of ultraviolet light. Therefore your child's skin has darkened due to the treatment but will remedy itself as your child grows older, as it is basically a tan. There are, however a few home remedies you can use to help clear the darkening of her skin. One way is to take a potato and cut it into fine slices and place the slices on the face.
You can also use a paste of limejuice and turmeric powder and apply it on her face. You can also use aloe vera; the gel taken directly from the plant is known to cure tanning and sunburns. Apply the gel mixed with the juice of a lemon over the tanned areas and wash it of after a period of about half an hour. Avoid letting your daughter play in the sun for too long as it will worsen the tanning. The tanning is not permanent and there is nothing to worry about, however, since your child is still young it is advisable to consult her doctor before trying out these remedies.
