There are several home remedies that are effective in getting rid of dark spots and other skin blemishes, and if you use these remedies regularly for a few weeks, you should be able to get rid of the black spots on your back. Most likely these are some kind of sun spots, which are basically areas of abnormal, excess pigmentation due to excessive exposure to sunlight. One of the most important things to do therefore is to avoid exposing your back to sunlight for long periods of time, particularly over the next few weeks, and in fact over the next few months. This in itself will allow the pigmentation to fade, helping the skin to return to its normal state. However, to speed up the process, you should regularly apply a paste of sandalwood powder, turmeric powder, and rose water to your back. Ideally, you should do this daily - if possible, apply the paste as soon as you wake up, and then bathe an hour later to wash it off. You can also mix sandalwood powder with tomato juice, cucumber juice, and a bit of lemon juice, and apply this mixture to your back every evening. Sandalwood and lemon juice in particular are very effective at lightening skin, and will therefore help the dark spots to fade.
You can also prepare a home made exfoliating scrub that you can use just before you bathe. This will help exfoliate the upper layer of skin with the dark spots, making new, lighter skin grow faster. One excellent home made scrub is a mixture of milk and oat meal. Instead of oat meal, you can also use orange peel that has been dried and ground into a coarse powder. There are two more substances that are very effective against most skin problems - aloe and vitamin E. Vitamin E is easily available at any chemist or general store, usually in the form of vitamin E oil. You can apply this oil to the black spots on your back a couple of times a day. The same can be done with aloe, which is available as a gel or a cream. If you can get fresh aloe gel directly from a plant, this is the best option. It will take a long time for these treatments to work, but if you see no results after six weeks, you should get your doctor to examine the black spots.
