People who suffer from Hyperhidrosis experience the problem of excessive sweating only in some parts of their body. The most common areas of the body affected by this medical condition are the armpits, the groin, under the breasts or even on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. Doctors are unaware of the exact reason for this excessive amount of sweating, though it is believed that stress can cause this disorder. Although there are various products available in the market, you should first try these home remedies to treat excessive facial sweating.

One of the first things you should do is ensure that you wear only clothing in natural fibers. Even though you only experience excessive facial sweating or facial hyperhidrosis alone, wearing natural fibers will help you. Avoid wearing tight clothes. Wear clothes that allow you to breathe. Always protect your face with a wide brimmed hat when you go out. Wearing too much make up can also cause your face to sweat and so it is a good idea to not wear any make up at all. Wash your face as often as possible, splashing cool water over it at regular intervals.

You should also stay calm and steer clear of stress. For this you should ensure that you practice some meditation and also some regular breathing exercises. In addition to this, you should try to control your diet and cut down on food that can increase your stress levels. You should cut down on your intake of coffee and tea. You can look for some herbal tea which will soothe you. If you are a smoker you should stop smoking as soon as possible. In addition to this your diet should not include meats. Try to eat simply cooked, predominantly vegetarian food as far as possible. However, remember to avoid certain vegetables like onions, broccoli and asparagus. Your food should not contain a high amount of salt. Instead, it is safer to eat food with slightly less salt. Highly spiced food is also not suitable for people suffering from facial hyperhidrosis. Water, fruit juices and buttermilk are all beneficial as a cure for excessive facial sweating and should be consumed at regular intervals through out the day. Ordinary water too should be taken in larger quantities.

You can make sage tea which is supposed to be beneficial. You can use dried sage and add this to a cup of boiled water. Allow it to stand for at least fifteen minutes before you strain it and drink. You can also make a grind some sandal paste and mix this with a few drops of milk. Apply this on your face to reduce the excessive sweating on face. You can also use rose water to wash your face. Simply dip a cotton ball into some rose water and use this to dab your face. This will help you feel cool and fresh.
