Straightening curly hair will take some time. You have mentioned that your hair is also rough and unmanageable. This means that you will have to follow some home remedies before your hair is ready to be straightened. The first thing that you need to do is to change the texture of your hair and make it softer and straighter. For this you need to use warmed coconut oil on your hair. You can also use warmed olive oil on your hair. Apply the air in the hair and on the scalp. Try to keep this on your head for as long as possible. You will find that when you keep the oil on in your hair for longer periods of hair before washing it off the hair looks fingers, smoother and definitely straighter. If you can't keep it for more than one day, then ensure that you do the oil treatment more often.

You can also ensure that you use a shampoo that suits your hair. Find a gentle shampoo to wash the oil out of your hair. Also, remember to use a good conditioner since this too will help your hair become straight. Don't' comb out your hair when it is wet. Instead, run your fingers through it and lever it to dry. Avoid using hair dryers on your hair. Instead, let it dry naturally. Mayonnaise is believed to be very effective in conditioning and moisturizing hair. You should simply mash up some avocado and work this into your hair. Leave it on for only half an hour before you wash it off.

Squeeze the juice of one lemon. Grind half a coconut and add some water to squeeze out some coconut milk. To one cup of coconut water add the juice of half a lemon. Place this in the fridge for a couple of hours. You will find, at the end of two hours, a creamy layer has formed on the top of the coconut milk. Skim this off and use this to make your hair soft. Now soak a towel in hot water and wrap this around your head. This can be left for half an hour. Preferably, always use a mild shampoo to wash your hair. Do this as often as possible and you will find that you will have rather straight hair. Usually this treatment is very effective and you are sure to notice the results in three weeks time.
