An oily scalp accumulates a lot of dirt. Regular washing and care is essential. Check out these tips:

- Use a shampoo that contains a detergent like sodium or ammonium lauryl sulfate.
- Application of a mild astringent to the scalp proves beneficial in removing the oil.
- Two handfuls of mint leaves boiled in one-and-a-half cups of water for 20 minutes is strained and the solution is mixed in a shampoo bottle of 300 ml volume.
- Olive oil application at bed time is helpful, which is washed the next day.
