Since you are requesting hair care for graying hair, it is assumed that you are not looking at methods to reverse the graying process or even trying to find a way to stop further gray hairs from popping out on your scalp. The simple and basic thing with gray hair is to treat it like you normally would treat your hair if it were not gray. A good routine will not only add good health and vigor to your gray hair, it will also make the hair strands stronger. This becomes particularly difficult with gray hairs. The reason for this is that hair that has turned gray has changed in its basic nature. Most of the time, this change includes a certain amount of weakness. When hair strands become weak, they not only lose their looks and luster; they will also have a tendency to fall off. This is the reason why people whose hair has turned gray generally tend to notice that their hair has thinned as well. Some of the things you would be doing for a good routine will be to adopt a daily method of hair care. This would include avoidance of using styling creams and gels in a daily basis. These will tend to work negatively for you.

You should also avoid the use of hair dryers and curling irons since these will also tend to weaken your hair to a large extend. Dry heat emitted by these appliances is basically the death knell for normal hair. And hair that has gone gray and relatively weaker with age does not stand a chance of survival. Especially if used on a daily basis. You should also follow a routine of oiling your hair and scalp twice a week. Apply almond oil and massage it gently and deeply into your scalp. This will help to condition and nourish your hair and will also keep it healthy. You can leave the oil on overnight and wash it off as usual the next morning. Make sure you use a mild shampoo that is natural and organic, as well as hypoallergenic. As with all things that have crossed a certain age, you should also treat your hair with some amount of fragility. If you wish to hide your grays, you can dye your hair with henna. Not only will this color your hair, it will also act as a conditioner that will provide nourishment to your hair.
