I assume that you are simply looking for ways in which to ensure that your facial skin is healthy, soft, and glowing. If you have any skin problem such as acne, rashes, sensitivity to any substances, or any other condition, you should visit a doctor and get advice on how to treat that specific skin problem. For general maintenance of your skin however, you should use some of the following tips on a regular basis:

  • Diet: One of the most important factors in ensure that your skin is healthy is your diet. A healthy diet is essential for any part of your body to function well, and your skin is in a sense the largest organ of your body. Ensure that your diet is balanced and varied - you can eat almost anything as long as it does not disagree with you, but ensure that there is no excess and no lack of any particular foods. Pay special attention to fruits and vegetables, as they contain most of the minerals and vitamins that are necessary for healthy skin. Along with this, you should ensure that your water intake is also adequate. Dehydration will make your skin look parched and wrinkled, besides causing a number of other problems.
  • Hygiene: It is important to keep your skin clean at all times, else bacteria, dirt, sweat, and sebum accumulate and cause a variety of problems. Wash your face regularly, especially if you are outdoors a lot, in areas where there is a lot of dust, smoke, and pollution. Avoid using soap too often, as it dries out skin; if you must use soap frequently or if you find that even occasional use dries your skin, switch to a milder soap, such as baby soap in extreme cases, or a glycerin soap.
  • Protection: Protection is mainly required against sunlight - this means wearing a hat or some other kind of covering to shade your face in the sunlight, and applying sunscreen lotion whenever you know that you are going to spend a lot of time in harsh sunlight. But in addition, you should moisturize your skin if it tends to get dry, as dry skin is extremely susceptible to damage.
  • Beauty treatments: There are hundreds of beauty treatments that can be prepared at home. One of the best is a face scrub made of honey, turmeric powder, and sandalwood powder. You can also use a face mask made of honey and lemon juice or egg white. An oatmeal and milk scrub is also extremely effective, and can include a little bit of rose water and sandalwood powder.
