Natural Cure for Dandruff
Dandruff is basically dead skin from the scalp that begins to flake off in unusually large quantities. Some amount of shedding of dead skin, and therefore some amount of flaking, is normal for all people, but sometimes flaking is excessive, which is what we call dandruff. Severe dandruff can also involve itching and inflammation.
The most common causes of dandruff are abnormalities in the production of sebum on the scalp and fungal infections. If your hair and scalp are dry, this is most probably the cause of your dandruff, and the factor that you need to address. You need to start oiling your hair regularly — you can use massage olive oil into your scalp, leave it on overnight, and wash it the next morning. Make sure that you use a shampoo for dry hair, else the problem will continue. You can also use a conditioner for dry hair. If you like, you can use egg yolk, which is an excellent natural conditioner.
If on the other hand is oily, you will need to use a shampoo for oily hair. Make sure that you leave the shampoo in your hair for at least 2 or 3 minutes before washing it out. You can also apply lemon juice to your scalp — not only is it good for the hair and the scalp, it will also fight any fungal infection.
