Skin and hair are both dependant on the genetic structure and thus the kind of hair you have is decided by hereditary factors. In order to keep your hair shining with natural health it is important to take good care of it, using natural products to wash and condition it. You should avoid using harsh hair-care products with a chemical base and other chemical treatments such as coloring. A healthy body will naturally have a healthy mane of hair and thus it is important to improve one's diet and lifestyle in order to have thick, luxurious and shining hair. You should ensure that your diet is replenished with fresh fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamins and essential nutrients and that your body is well hydrated by drinking plenty of water and fresh fruit juices throughout the day. Vitamins A, B1, B2, C and biotin are beneficial for the hair.

Any hair-care routine involves massaging your scalp with oil the night before you wash your hair, or at least an hour before. This helps to increase the circulation of blood in your scalp, thus strengthening the hair follicles and improving the health of your hair. Jojoba oil is excellent for the hair conditioning it naturally. You can add a few drops of essential oil of rosemary, juniper berry, lavender or cedar wood oil to the bottle of jojoba oil and use this to massage your scalp and then smooth it down the length of your hair. You can wash your hair the next day for best results. If you have long hair, remember that it is not necessary to wash it daily. Excessive washing of long hair leads to excessive production of sebum by the scalp making the hair looking greasier. Choose a shampoo depending on whether your hair is dry or oily. Clarifying shampoos are best for oily hair while dry hair require moisturizing shampoos. Look for products with Acacia concinna, Aloe Vera and Henna since they are good for the hair. It is also important to condition your hair regularly to keep the natural moisture locked within the hair strands and leave it shining naturally. You can either buy a good hair conditioner from the market or use vinegar to condition your hair. Merely mix vinegar with water in the proportion of 1:4 and rinse your hair with this after you have finished shampooing your hair. Alternately you can rinse your hair with some tea-water to obtain shining black hair. After washing your hair, avoid combing it vigorously. You can use a wide-toothed comb to gently detangle your hair and then carefully dry your hair by squeezing out the excess moisture rather than rubbing it too vigorously. It is equally important to avoid brushing your hair too often.
