Freckles home remedies Freckles are not due to any internal problem, and they are not a skin problem either. They are simply genetically determined, and are caused by exposure to sunlight. In most people, exposure to sunlight causes an even tan, as a result of increased melanin production. In people who are genetically predisposed to freckles (mostly people with light hair), melanin is not produced evenly, but in concentrated spots, resulting in freckles. Therefore, as you can see, freckles are not a disease or a skin disorder, but are simply an uneven tan, and there is no need for you to worry about them.
Sunscreens are not always effective, especially if you do not use them correctly — you need to use a sunscreen with the appropriate SPF value (sun protection factor) for the amount of exposure you expect. You should also use adequate amounts of sunscreen, and apply it at least 15 minutes before you go outdoors. If you're out in the sun for long periods of time, you may need to reapply the sunscreen after a couple of hours. Vitamin supplements are not going to help you get rid of freckles, because they have nothing to do with vitamin deficiencies. The only thing is to avoid the sun as far as possible, use sunscreen when necessary, and cover yourself adequately when you go out.
