There does not really seem to be any problem with your hair - curly hair is just naturally curly, and this does not mean that there is anything wrong with it. Hair does not necessarily have to be straight, it can also be curly or wavy, or somewhere in between. What is the real problem is that people with curly hair sometimes treat their hair as if it were straight - this includes getting hairstyles that are not really suited for their type of hair. Many straight haired people would love to have curly hair, and it is simply up to you (and your hairdresser) to make the best of what you have.

Certain hair styles will just not suit curly hair, and if you insist on such a hair cut, you will end up with hair that sticks out weirdly or puffs out to give your head a rather odd shape. The first thing you should do therefore is find a reliable hairstylist and a style that suits your hair and the shape of your face.

Secondly, you need to take a little more care of your hair - curly hair has a natural tendency to become dry and frizzy. This can usually be countered quite easily, by simply combing your regularly. With curly hair, dryness usually occurs because the oil (or rather sebum) from the scalp does not spread along the length of hair as easily as it does with straight hair. Thus the problem is rarely with the actual production of sebum by the scalp. Remember however that you should never comb your hair when it is wet, as wet hair is very delicate and breaks very easily. If combing your hair regularly does not help very much, then you need to oil your hair too. It is best not to oil your hair at the start of the day, as the oil will attract dirt and dust, and your hair will be filthy by the end of the day. Instead, oil your hair at night, and wash off the oil in the morning with a suitable shampoo, followed by a conditioner.

I am not aware of the product that you mentioned, but if you feel that it does not suit your hair you can change. There are many hair care products available that are meant to make curly or frizzy hair more manageable, and you will need to try several to know which one works for you.
