The first thing you need to do is to stop applying henna so often. Henna is a natural conditioner, which is meant to nourish and deep condition your hair. But if applied with such alarming frequency, it may very well have lost most of its positive effects. If any kind of treatment is abused to such an extent, it usually stops working completely. You can try other methods to relieve your hair of the extreme dryness you complain of. To start off, you can begin with applying hair oil to your scalp about twice a week. This will make a significant difference, and most of that difference would totally depend upon what kind of hair oil you apply and how you apply it. You should use olive or castor oil. Both of these are extremely useful in providing adequate nourishment to your hair and will go a long way towards making your hair well conditioned, smooth and properly nourished. You should apply the oil to your hair and scalp and leave it in overnight for best results. The next morning, you should use hot water fomentation on your scalp for the oil to show good results. This can be done by simply wrapping your head with a hot water towel several times. This procedure will open up your pores and will enable the best part of the oil to penetrate your scalp well and effectively. After this you can shampoo off the oil with your regular usage shampoo. Remember to use lukewarm or tepid water to wash your hair. If you use hot water, this will weaken your strands and lead to breakage, which you do not want.

You can also take some basic precautions to ensure that your hair does not get dry. Do not use plastic combs and implements on your hair. This will add to the static and will only serve to worsen the condition of your hair. Dryness generally increases with use of plastic. Use wooden brushes and clips instead. You should also avoid using fine toothed combs for best results. Fine toothed combs will have a greater tendency to trap your hair and make it fall more easily and frequently. You should also try to add rich sources of vitamin A to your diet. This particular nutrient is really good for growing hair as well as maintaining the general health of your hair. All yellow and orange fruits and vegetables would be included in this category.
