I am not aware of the product you have mentioned, but if you have found that it does nothing to solve your problem and is actually causing an additional problem of dandruff, then you should certainly discontinue its use. There are very few viable treatments for hair loss, and it is always necessary to understand what is causing the hair loss before attempting to treat it. Oils and tonics that are promoted as general solutions for hair fall are usually useless, as they rarely address the actual cause of the hair fall.
If your hair loss is caused by dietary problems, then it should be quite easy to solve them - you simply need to correct the imbalances in your diet. Here too simplistic solutions such as eating more of certain fruits and vegetables are not of much use. Hair requires several vitamins and minerals to grow properly, and you were to make a list of all the foods that contain these nutrients, you would end up with a long and impractical list. What you need is a diet that is varied and balanced - it should include as many different foods as possible, and have these foods in reasonable quantities, so as to avoid any excesses or deficiencies. Fruits and vegetables are certainly important, but some vitamins, such as B12, which is very important for hair, cannot be got in adequate amounts from plant sources. If you are a vegetarian, you should at least consume dairy products in order to get the required amount of vitamin B12.
Sometimes, hair loss is a result of poor lifestyle and habits. Excessive stress, lack of sleep can affect the growth of your hair negatively. Therefore, ensure that you get enough rest, and if necessary take up an activity such as meditation to ease your mind. Excessive exposure to sunlight, wind, and pollution can also damage your hair, and can cause breakage, if not hair loss. You should therefore try to keep your hair covered if you spend a lot of time outdoors, and of course wash it regularly with a suitable shampoo, after which you should condition it. If you feel the need to oil your hair, you should use plain coconut oil or olive oil, rather than a tonic or an oil with added substances.
Finally, if these measures do not work and your hair loss is simply hereditary or age related, you will need to visit a specialist. This kind of hair loss can sometimes be controlled, but not with home remedies.
