For your face shape, the ideal hair style is one that makes your face looks shorter or adds more width to your face, or both. Your options are limited, because most hair styles will tend to accentuate your face shape, and will thus look odd. However, there are several things that you can do with your hair to make it look just right.
First, one thing that you absolutely should not do is keep your hair short. A short hair style is a sure way to accentuate the length of your face and your chin, and his therefore best avoided. In case you prefer your hair a bit short, you can go for a chin length cut at the most. Similarly, you should completely avoid keeping your hair too long, as this too accentuates the length of your face and chin. At the most, you should keep your hair around shoulder length. As you can see, as far as length of your hair goes, your face shape limits you to a very small range - between chin length and shoulder length. You can however get a V cut if you want your hair a little longer - at the front it can brush your shoulders or go an inch or so below, but at the back you can keep it longer.
For long faces, bangs are a good way to shorten the length of the face. If you have straight or wavy hair, this is very easy to pull off, but if you have curly or frizzy hair it might not be possible. Still, the point is to cover up some of your forehead so as to take away from the length of your face. For this reason, you should also avoid any style that gives you volume on the top of your head. You should cut your hair in layers, so as to provide some width and a touch of style too, as straight cuts tend to be a bit boring. Ideally, layers should be at the nose and chin level, although this is not a particularly strict requirement. If you have very straight hair, you may want to add some waves to it, as this will also make your hair fuller and minimize the long straight lines.
In addition to the perfect hair style, you can use make up cleverly to draw attention away from the length of your face and your chin, and towards your best features.
