It is essential to know first whether your daughter was treated properly for her tinea cap and whether it is completely gone or not. Sometimes, it can be a possibility that there is some amount of dormant disease that is still left over and it may have the possibility of causing problems such as the one you are describing later on. The first and most important thing you must do is get your daughter's scalp checked out by a trichologist. This is a doctor who specializes in care and maintenance of the hair and scalp. If you cannot find one near your area, then you should try to consult with a dermatologist. Either ways, you are better off getting a proper medical opinion on what the problem exactly is and then only can you go about tackling it best of all. It is not only unwise to tackle a problem without knowing its genesis; it is also not the best way to ensure a proper cure. You should know whether you are treating the tinea or you are simply dealing with a case of hair breakage or hair fall.

However, whatever the nature of the problem, you should take some basic steps to ensue that your daughter does not suffer from hair loss. To begin with, you must start adding lots of vitamin A to your diet. This would include fresh fruits and vegetables. In particular, pay attention to carrots and squash. These two are excellent ways to encourage hair growth in good quantities. You should also try to apply warm hair oil into her scalp and massage it in well. This will also help by providing nourishment to her hair. Keep in mind that this may actually result in more hair breaking first. But this is completely normal and should not unduly alarm you. If you are gentle in the process of massaging your scalp, you will find that there is minimal hair breakage in any case. You should also try not to use any kind of chemical formulae on your daughter's hair. This would include things like gel, hair setting liquids and lotions and so on. These will only add to hair fall. You should also add some amount of almonds and fenugreek to your daughter's diet. Both these products are excellent and will always help with hair growth. Try these things for at least a few weeks for better results.
