Using hair blower or drier to dry and style hair

Is hair blower or drier safe to use frequently to style or dry hair? Are there any special precautions we should maintain while use of the same? How often is safe enough?

If you are troubled with dry hair, you are better off avoiding the use of implements such as hair dryers and irons. The reason for this is extremely simple and also very clear. If you are using dryers and irons, you are administering dry heat to your hair. This will further work towards drying your hair out even more than it is already dry. Not only that, dryers will also have a natural tendency to dry out your scalp. You should be aware that the scalp has pores that normally secrete natural oils that are very much part and parcel of your skin and chemistry. Administering heat will end up removing the oil deposits that reside in these pores. Furthermore, if the heat is accompanied with dryness, then you will find that oil disappears even faster from your scalp. As a result of this, it will also disappear from your hair strands. One of the most common manifestations of lack of natural oil and moisture in your hair is when the strands start developing split ends. These are the most obvious sign of extreme dryness. If you are already troubled with split ends, then you should take measures to check the dryness of your hair very quickly.

If you must use dryers to dry or style and set your hair, then you should try and use the cold air setting. This is the best way to ensure that your hair does not end up becoming excessively dry. While administering air will dry your hair at its own sweet pace, at least a decided lack of heat will not damage your hair unduly. But of course, it is always good to know that this will take a lot of time to work and set your hair. If you need to do it on an emergency basis, then only should you be using a dryer or an iron. Try to avoid using these as much as you can and save them only for a last resort. So that should also tell you not to have any set frequency to use these things on your hair. You can also start taking care to remove the dryness from your hair. Massaging oil into your scalp once a week at least is an excellent way to make sure of this. Try to sue coconut, almond or olive oil, as all of these are excellent in terms of providing nourishment required for hair.
