Getting rid of scars of any kind effectively depends upon the age and cause of the scar. Since you have given the cause of the scar, that problem is solved. You have not however, mentioned the age of the scars. This could lead to some confusion about getting rid of them. The general rule to remember is that the older a scar is, the more tricky it is to get rid of it. If the scar is relatively new, it becomes easier to not only get rid of it, but also to get rid of it quickly. However, since you have mentioned that your scars are red in color, it would be safe to assume that they are not too old. In any case, you can follow some general rules to get rid of scars caused by pimples. The first thing to do is to get rid of your pimples. In order to do this, you can make some basic changes in your diet and lifestyle, which will help you a lot. The first thing to do is to cut out all fried and oily food from your diet. This will help to effectively stop the growth and development of acne on your face altogether. Keep in mind that pimples are caused by excessive oily deposits on the skin that clog it and produce boils and unhealthy skin. Sometimes, deletion of spices and spicy food from your diet can also help considerably. You should also make it a point to eat salad without dressing with each meal. Fresh greens and chopped vegetables like tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, baby spinach and carrots will help to improve the texture of your skin considerably. They will add moisture and cleanse your skin from within.

You must also follow a skin care routine to get rid of acne as well as scars left behind by acne. Begin by exfoliating your skin at least every alternate day. You can get any scrub off the shelf for your skin type for this purpose. Gentle exfoliation will help to remove the top layer of dead skin from your face. Be sure you use it on your neck as well, so that your skin tone will become even throughout. You can dab on hydrogen peroxide diluted with 10 times the amount of water to your scars. This will lighten them a lot. You can also apply fresh milk cream to your scars to lighten them.
