As a general rule, abrasions caused due to laser surgery will usually take the amount of time that regular scratches take to heal. For instance, if you have scraped your skin, the brown scabs that follow healing usually take about three days to a week to fall off on their own. There is absolutely no reason why skin abrasions caused due to laser surgery should take any more time than this. You should know that the abrasions caused due to laser surgery are nothing but small scratches caused when the tip of the laser point enters your skin. There is a mild breaking of the surface of the skin and probably a microscopic amount of blood is shed. This is then healed and covered by a scab. These scabs show up in the form of small abrasions. If you want them to heal faster, you can apply a mix of clarified butter, also known as ghee and turmeric powder to them. You can make your own ghee by taking a stick of unsweetened butter and melting it till it clarifies. This needs to be strained before use, as there will be some small white cream residues even in well clarified butter. The ghee has healing properties which will help you to heal quickly. The turmeric also has well known and documented healing properties that will take care of your injuries. The best part about this remedy is that it has no negative or even adverse side effects, and it can be used as frequently as you want.

You have not specified what has caused the temporary hyper pigmentation. This is a very important factor in determining how long it has the likelihood of lasting. Sometimes, hyper pigmentation can occur due to something as simple as excessive sunburn. This will last for anything from about a week to a few months. It would totally depend upon your degree of sensitivity to the sun. It would also depend upon the amount of exposure you have to the sun. Your best bet to get rid of hyper pigmentation patches as soon as possible is to minimize direct exposure of your skin to the sun. If you cannot avoid it, remember to always apply sun screen with a minimum sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 to your skin before stepping out in the sun. This way, you at least make sure that your skin is not further darkened. Otherwise, you can apply yogurt to remove discoloration of any kind quickly.
