Round spots on your body that resemble ringworms should be checked out by a doctor as soon as you can do it. And if they have been around for as long as two weeks, then it becomes more important than ever to get them checked out. If indeed you are suffering from ringworm, then you can follow a proper course of medication to get rid of it. In addition to that, you can also adopt a few remedies at home to get rid of your ringworm. But the first thing you need to do is to ensure that you are indeed suffering from ringworm. And this would require a medical consultation to begin with. In any case, you can try some simple measures and see if you can get rid of the round spots. For instance, a penny rubbed vigorously on the spot will remove it within a few days if it is indeed ringworm. This is because pennies are made of copper which is supposed to kill ringworm. Another very quick and effective remedy for ringworm is to apply toothpaste to it. The strong mint and opaque and thick nature of toothpaste is supposed to kill ringworm quite quickly and effectively. Application of concentrated vinegar is also a good way to kill ringworm. This can actually get rid of them in about a couple of days at most. Another excellent remedy is also to apply a drop of tea tree oil to the ring shaped spots on your body. Tea tree oil is known for its anti fungal properties. Ringworm is the kind of fungus that will be instantly killed with the application of tea tree oil to it. All of these remedies are effective if you have an infestation of ringworm, of course. If it is any other kind of infection relating to the skin, they may not always work. Your best option is to try them out for a week or so. You will see marked results within that much time. If not, you can conclude that it is something other than ringworm.
When faced with skin trouble that discolors your skin, you can apply diluted organic apple cider vinegar to your skin spots. This will help to clear out any surface infection you may be affected with. Alternately, you can also apply a solution of diluted hydrogen peroxide to your skin. This will sanitize your skin as well as kill mild infections.
